Ultimate Final Fantasy Resonance Demo Delivers Five Hours

Ultimate Final Fantasy Resonance Demo Delivers Five Hours

The Final Fantasy Resonance demo is now available and it offers a substantial taste of Square Enix’s upcoming RPG. Players can enjoy about three to five hours of content, depending on pace.

Up to five hours before launch

The demo lets players experience the entire first chapter of the adventure. It covers exploration of the Kingdom of Grandshelt and introduces Final Fantasy Resonance’s combat and progression systems.

With an estimated playtime of three to five hours, Square Enix is clearly not treating the demo as a brief introduction lasting just a few minutes. There is enough content to get familiar with the RPG’s main mechanics and decide whether the journey is worth continuing when the full game becomes available.

And players who decide to purchase Final Fantasy Resonance will not have to repeat this portion of the adventure. Demo progress can be carried over to the final version, serving as an early start to the campaign.

Sephiroth also makes an appearance

The demo also introduces players to the game’s universe and characters, which combine traditional elements of the franchise with HD-2D visuals, mixing pixel art with 3D effects.

One of the new features revealed by Square Enix is the appearance of Sephiroth. The character can be encountered as a boss during the adventure, and defeating him grants a special reward.

Final Fantasy Resonance launches on October 22, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version arrives on October 23.
